Dichotomous Keys and Plant Identification

Dichotomous keys are an essential tool for identifying species through a series of questions that each have only two answers. Becoming a rock-star with a dichotomous key is a big part of a systematic botany course, and is not required to be successful in this class. It is helpful, though, to have an understanding of how keys work and how they are constructed. This module explores dichotomous keys and gives you the opportunity to create a key yourself.
